And moving on, again

Sat Nov 28, 2009, 12:24 PM
I generally only get on when I'm procrastinating now, so I figured I'd procrastinate the right way, and update my journal too.

So I really don't like my university at all, but I'm transferring! Yay! I visited a few schools in October and really liked one in New York State, so I'm heading up there. I'm super excited!!! Only 2 and a half weeks left at my university now and then and then a few weeks of winter break and then new school! sosososoexcited! But I don't want to do all of the work I need to do now. I need to though, since I definitely want a 4.0 GPA, so I'll wrap this up now.

Moving On

Sun Aug 16, 2009, 8:35 PM
I've been a member for almost 5 years. Pretty crazy. Since I really haven't done much with this, but alas, I still love this place. Even if I only check it every 3 months.

It is summer. And actually for me it's only summer for another...10 days. Then I'm headed to Pittsburgh for college. Last choice school, last choice city :] but at least I can afford it. But if orientation represented the best my class has to offer, I may suck up the loans and transfer to Drexel. So far (via messages) my roommate seems quite nice though, so I'm excited about that. And I'm finished bitching about college, chances are if you're reading this you've heard me give a longer version of this speech every time you've seen me since May.

Speaking of summer, mine's been crazy busy. Summary/list version: I went to Paris, da Bahamas, Otakon, and Pittsburgh for orientation. I finally stopped working at Pizza Hut at the end of July. I got my nose pierced! I went to a Gogol Bordello concert by myself and had an awesome time. I saw Incubus with my mom and her fiance last week. I've seen lots of movies, or maybe just a couple movies lots of times, ie The Hangover, 500 Days of Summer. I've been to Hershey Park and Kings Dominion and a midnight showing of Repo! The Genetic Opera. I have not seen my family or been to the beach. I have not gone to the 9:30 Club or any part of Washington DC. I climbed up a real ladder for the first time to clean my house. I've made a mess of my room. I miss sketchbook assignments from Art 3, or maybe just making art. I've been really bitchy, but less bitchy than during the school year. I bought a Nintendo DSi. I've actually had a bunch of lazy days. I went to the aquarium and saw the jellies. I've sneezed over 1000 times in 2009.
So that's most of it, and there's definitely more left to squeeze out of summer in the next few days.

Also, in spite of all my bitching, most of me is really excited about college. From [god-damnable] College Board AP tests I actually got 18 credits already :] pretty sweet. Including a 3 on AP art! Not really something to brag about...but I was expecting a 2 so I was really happy about that! And the roommate thing is good. And there are parts of Pittsburgh that seem like they're going to be wicked fun, like the Altar bar, which is a church, turned into a bar. And of course there's more, but now I'm getting lazy

Wearing my retainers for the first time in months, waking up early, hormones, anxiousness/excitement, and life at this moment have put me in a strange mood.

FINALLY

Sun Apr 5, 2009, 8:27 AM
I'm finally 18. NOW THAT DAMNED MATURE CONTENT FILTER WILL VANISH, it's about time.

Also, I realize much has changed since that last journal entry. Like that fact that I got a laptop...for Christmas.
And also all that college stuff. I applied to 4 schools: Emerson College, Point Park University, Drexel University, and Northeastern University. And I got into all 4!!!! I don't know where I'm going to go yet because of money, but I'm hoping to go to Drexel. However if they can't help out a little more, since $51,000 is a lot... then I'll be attending Point Park. I plan to major in Entertainment and Arts Management. Yay

ALSO ALSO my county holds an art show every year, and this year there were 800 entrants. They picked 155 to display their works, and I was one of them! And not only was I picked, but they had 23 special Juror's awards and I was picked for one of those! I got one of the lower end awards, but who fucking cares?!?! I'm really proud of myself. However I have to give credit to :iconurei-chan: for drawing the wings for the picture of the lamp (that was one of the pictures that was picked).

I'm REALLY never on here anymore...

Wed Aug 13, 2008, 6:27 PM
because I got a new computer...sometime in 2008, and it has Vista, and has trouble running DA for more than 5 minutes without crashing. But I just reconfigured a tiny bit (not sure if reconfigured is the right word, but in any event I changed some settings) and so far so good *crosses fingers*
So I think I may try to FINALLY upload some of the stuff I've done in the last...forever or so.

However, I signed up for AP art this year, and have 30 sketchbook assignment to complete by the 25 of this month. And I, being the procrastinator that I am, really didn't start until yesterday. So I need to complete about 3 a day or so. And with work, sleep, and trying to give myself the illusion of a social life, will probably not get much on here, unless I do it all tonight.
