So I just got back from New York City. It was a pretty amazing trip.
Saturday:
We drove around before we could check into our hotel, and I took quite a few pictures, some turned out more like paintings with just a little bit of editing.
And then we went to MoMA [Museum of Modern Art]. It was incredible. And we didn't have a chance to even see half of it. I could spend a week, at least, in there everyday from opening to closing probably.
And one of my most favorite, if not my very favorite, piece of art was there. The Starry Night, by Vincent van Gogh.
And then pretty much after that we had to leave. But I took a few pictures in there too. Some of art, some of just random stuff. but I suppose the entire place is art. Even the building is impressive.
The rest of Sat. was spend pretty much exploring Times Square and the areas surrounding it. And the Virgin Megastore. It was huuuuuuge. And I got a cute tote bag with a pigeon on it with its head chopped off saying "merde", which translates to "shit" in english.
Sunday:
Woke up and got ready to go to the Schubert Theatre to see Spam-a-Lot. However, my brother didn't bring any nice clothes, and my mother wouldn't allow him to go to a Broadway Musical in a t-shirt. Can't blame her, I would've been embarassed. So we had to go shopping, under the pressure of being able to get our car from the hotel's garage before they charged us another $34 for another day, though we'd only take an extra 20 minutes at most.
So we went to Saks. It was ridiculous. And I didn't see anything under $100. And I looked at the price of hat, be warned ladies and gentlemen of rather horrific prices, a
Burberry hat. It was $120.
FOR AN EFFIN' HAT!!!
So then basically after much stress and almost $100 later for my brother's polo, we leave. Then we discover a men's wearhouse and get him pants.
BLAH BLAH UNIMPORTANT DETAILS.
So then we see Spam-a-Lot. It was absolutely hilarious. And my first ever Broadway show. I loved it. I would've enjoyed to have seen the original cast, with Tim Curry [one of my idols], buuut this was just perfect.
Then after the show we walk around a bit to find Game Stop for my brother, which he was in for about 10 minutes. And it was like....at least 4 blocks from Times Square. And I had at least 2 blisters at this point.
But anyways, right after Game Stop we went to Forever 21, and I found a perfect top for my Queen of Hearts cosplay, for Otakon, next weekend. Which is very good since my other shirt was just okay, but this one is perfect.
like the ending of Secret Window.
hahah sorry, I'm really tired, and I'm going to go to bed now, before I blind anyone with anymore writing.
And I'll upload my pictures soon. Probably tomorrow
